Rainy Friday Yard Check-In: What We Can (and Can’t) Do in the Wet

Happy rainy (and yucky) Friday, Louisville! Days like today are a good reminder that lawn care isn’t just about cutting grass—it’s about protecting your yard and your property.

Here’s what we’re watching for when the ground is saturated:

  • Ruts & compaction: mowing too soon can leave tracks and stress the turf.

  • Clumping & uneven cuts: wet grass doesn’t cut clean and can smother healthy blades.

  • Drainage issues: pooling water, downspout washouts, and low spots that need attention.

If your service day lands on a rain day, we’ll always choose the safest option for your yard—sometimes that means adjusting timing so we don’t tear up the turf.

Need help with a soggy spot, cleanup after storms, or a quick property check? Reach out and we’ll get you on the schedule.
